EN 45545-2 Certified Components by HAMM Mount
EN 45545-2 is the European standard for fire protection on railway vehicles, establishing requirements for the fire behavior of materials and components. This standard replaced previous national standards (BS 6853, NF F 16-101, DIN 5510-2) and is now mandatory for all new railway vehicles operating in Europe, with increasing adoption globally including in the USA, Canada, Australia, and Asia. HAMM Mount holds EN 45545-2 certification for our complete range of railway rubber components, covering Hazard Levels HL1, HL2, and HL3 across all relevant requirement sets. Our rubber compounds are specifically formulated to pass the stringent smoke toxicity (FTIR), smoke density (NF X 10-702), and heat release rate (cone calorimeter) tests required by the standard. We provide complete fire test documentation with every railway component shipment, supporting our customers' vehicle homologation and safety case submissions.
