• Visible cracking, tearing, or chunk loss in the rubber element
• Excessive cabin movement or "floating" sensation during compaction
• Increased vibration felt by the operator compared to when the machine was new
• Oil contamination or swelling of the rubber (indicates hydraulic leak nearby)
• Metal-to-metal contact sounds from the cabin area during operation
• Rubber hardening and loss of elasticity (typically after 3,000-5,000 operating hours)

As a preventive maintenance practice, many fleet operators replace all cabin mounts as a set during the 5,000-hour service interval, coinciding with other major service items.
